Build Consulting is honored to have worked on fascinating and impactful projects for some of the most well respected nonprofit organizations. Here we’ve highlighted some of our recent projects, including visuals. (We hope you’ll agree that a picture or chart is worth a thousand words!)
Building a Model for Relationship Management
We helped a large international health organization define an enterprise-wide model for engaging with their largest funders. The model helped the organization work together to advance the organization’s most important emerging and current funders.
Build Consulting created a framework, supported by easily understood graphics, to identify where funders fit in their relationship maturity, so they could invest organizational energy in growing and strengthening their relationship.
CRM is More Than Technology
We were asked to help distill what went wrong in a failed Salesforce implementation. We quickly realized that the stalled implementation was emblematic of an organization that needed to better maximize relationships.
Build Consulting identified the salient issues then the organization recognized that they first had to learn new ways of working together that were supported by CRM technology, not the other way around.
Information Strategy Governance
A regional human services organization with 450 staff engaged Build to take a fresh look at their information strategy and IT operations.
Build Consulting performed a strategic assessment and information technology audit, identifying a focused list of quick wins as well as mid and long-term opportunities. In order to help the organization to take advantage of these opportunities, we helped them to envision a higher-performance mode of information governance, which will lead to more effective decision-making and change management around information management and effective operations.
Systems, Systems Everywhere
At an international conservation organization with powerful CRM and online fundraising software, found that nothing was actually integrated. Data was in multiple places, but there was no mechanism to make understanding constituent engagement possible.
Build Consulting documented the system landscape and data flows to better illustrate how coordinated movement of data could better identify and segment constituents. The result was systems that allowed for tailored engagement strategies from membership to major giving.
Redefining an Information Ecosystem
An international NGO asked us to lead their effort to revitalize their aging IT landscape, including every major information system.
Build Consulting performed a comprehensive information systems assessment and selection, followed by part-time CIO services to strategically guide implementation over a 16-month period. The result was a global information ecosystem and IT/IS support team that enabled all parts of the organization to work together using redefined standard policies and processes.
An archdiocese asked us to help them transition from aging and custom information systems used to manage their programs, fundraising, and online presence.
We performed a comprehensive discovery and assessment that resulted in a technology roadmap, including strategy and governance decisions that would need to precede an effective information systems modernization. We then led selection of systems for program management, fundraising, and online constituent interaction. The result was a clear path toward more efficient operations, a better online experience for constituents, and greater information security.
